Welcome to Term 3! It’s been a very interesting year to say the least, but let’s keep up the positive vibes and highlight all the amazing work you and your students have been doing throughout this pandemic.
Next week, we’ll be launching a new writing competition for our Seven Steps students, focusing on narrative writing. This year we’ve selected four picture writing prompts with a variety of categories to suit all ages and abilities. Stay tuned for more details next week!
For now, let’s look back at last year’s Persuasive Writing Competition entries. We were blown away by the number and the quality of entries we received!
You can look back at the winning and runner-up entries here.
But we’d also like to share some of the excellent shortlisted ones so you can see a variety of year levels and abilities.
Persuasive Speech
Students were asked to write a speech persuading their school leaders to ban school uniforms.
Book Review
Students were asked to write a review of their favourite book.
We love seeing the transformation in students’ writing that is happening throughout our Seven Steps community.
We can’t wait to showcase more of your students’ work in our new Narrative Writing Competition!
